Family-run, dog-friendly campsite in Howardian Hills, perfect for caravans and campers
Welcome to
Peel Park Campsite
Martin, Christine, Olivia and Isaac are delighted to welcome you to Peel Park Camping!
Peel Park is a small, family run, dog friendly campsite in the stunning Howardian Hills in North Yorkshire. For over 8 years, we’ve been hosting caravans, motorhomes and campers on our spacious pitches.

Our dairy farmland covers 225 acres, offering the perfect rural getaway in a nationally recognised Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You’ll have only our Holstein cows and your fellow campers for company, allowing you to fully switch off from the stresses of day-to-day life.
Book your countryside escape with us today. We look forward to meeting you!
Campsite Facilities
With just 5 electric pitches and 10 non-electric pitches on site, we offer a very private camping experience in North Yorkshire. All our pitches have plenty of space to accommodate parked cars and awnings.
All our electric pitches have their own drinking water taps, and non-electric pitches can collect fresh water from our conveniently located indoor washing up area. Inside, you’ll also find a selection of books and games in our lending library, which you are welcome to borrow.
Our large accessible shower is easily accessible and there are two on site toilets for use during your stay.
We operate a small honesty shop, stocked full of essentials and tasty treats, including locally made Ryeburn of Helmsley ice cream. From time-to-time, we are also able to offer fresh homemade cakes and free-range eggs.
Peel Park is a dog friendly campsite, and we love meeting all your four-legged guests! However, as a working farm, we do ask that you keep your dogs on a lead when moving around the site. There are lots of wonderful off-lead walking opportunities accessible from the campsite for you to enjoy and we’re happy to recommend our favourites.
While we ask visitors not to explore the farm buildings unsupervised, we are very happy to show you around. Chat to Christine on arrival to arrange a tour for you and your family, where we’ll show you the cows being milked and the calves being fed (season dependent).
We don’t operate strict arrival and departure times so you can be flexible with your travel plans. If you need to arrive late, please just let us know so we can accommodate you. We ask that all your guests leave by 11:30am on your departure date.

Local hidden gems and things to do
We are absolutely spoiled for choice when it comes to activities and places to eat in our area. Our family has lived here for many years and we’re happy to share our favourite places and hidden gems with you to make sure you make many happy memories while you’re staying with us.
There is a fantastic children’s play park in Brandsby, just a 15-minute walk from the campsite that our children loved in their younger years. Many other beautiful walks through the AONB are also easily accessible from our farm, which seasoned hikers and recreational walkers love.
The campsite is an easy 30-minute drive into York and all the exciting attractions, history, retail therapy, and restaurants it offers. We are just 40 minutes from the stunning Yorkshire Coast and are very close to two adrenaline filled theme parks: Lightwater Valley and Flamingo Land.
Dalby Forest and Sutton Bank are very popular with both mountain bikers and walkers, and both are easily accessible from Peel Park. We are very fortunate to have many National Trust and English Heritage sites on our doorstop too, including Fountains Abbey, Beningbrough Hall, Rievaulx Abbey, Nunnington Hall, and Byland Abbey. Castle Howard is also a favourite with our guests and is a fantastic day out for all the family.
You certainly won’t be hungry during your stay in North Yorkshire either, the county is full of wonderful places to eat and drink. Some of our favourite places in the local area are Mannions Café in Easingwold, Hovingham Bakery, High Paradise Farm in Boltby, and the Bakehouse in Crakye. If you’re looking for cosy Yorkshire pubs, we can also recommend The White Swan at Ampleforth, the Fauconberg in Coxwold, the Carlton Inn in Carton Hustwaite, and the Oak Tree Inn in Helperby.
